Edward Condon, MD, FACE
223 W Montauk Hwy Suite 106, Hampton Bays, NY 11946, USA
Dr Condon spent half an hour trying to push Metformin. I’m 5’5 and weighed 135 at the time of my visit. Not ideal, but not worthy of medication. He told me to take the Metformin to lose 10 pounds and insisted I’m overweight and pre diabetic. I am neither. My numbers are perfect. I can lose 10 pounds in 10 days. It’s not a problem. My appointment was made with their nutritionist but he hijacked my appointment to push pills. I politely asked to see the nutritionist but he kept pushing metformin. My husband had to come into the office to get me out of there. The Dr wouldn’t stop talking about how I was overweight and pre diabetic. I could laugh at the absurdity of it all. I should have left the practice then. I returned because I figured at least they can do my blood work. How could they mess that up? Well, they lost my bloodwork (even though they draw it in the office) then called me with an astronomical number for my TSH and tried to push levothyroxine on me. The results of this bloodwork are still not visible in the system. Suspicious. I told them that I’d feel like death if my number was so high and asked to have that retested. In the meantime I found another Dr who tested my TSH and it’s normal!! Imagine that. I think this Dr must be hungry for pharmaceutical kickbacks. Laughably, I was recently sent a letter saying I could no longer be a patient because was non compliant. I guess I’m supposed to mindlessly take medication for problems I don’t have. This Dr is unethical. He’s looking for lifetime customers, not patients to cure. The only positive I can say is that the sono tech was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She’s the only spot of sunshine in that office that I’m aware of.
