Atlanta

Atlanta Endocrine Associates: Scott Isaacs, MD
102 Mary Alice Park Rd Ste 802, Cumming, GA 30040, USA
I started seeing him a few years ago. I told him I thought I was having adrenal issues again - I'd been treated for hypothyroidism and adrenal insufficiency after my pregnancy 13 years ago. He all but laughed me out of the room and told me you can't have a thyroid problem one day and not the next, which is absolutely not true. Even having a cold can impact your thyroid hormone levels. He ran a bunch of basic tests but wouldn't treat my history of adrenal insuffiency with any seriousness and told me my old doctor must have been a quack. When my routine labwork came back clean he recommended I have weight loss surgery. I told him I wouldn't and that I had a lot of medical trauma from past surgeries and wouldn't be having any elective procedures. He said he'd make a note not to discuss it again and wanted me to follow up every 3-6 months after that. I never questioned why. If I didn't have any endocrine issue why did an endocrinologist want me to follow-up? Makes no sense, but I thought maybe if I keep coming back he will eventually figure out what's wrong with me. At every follow-up he mentioned WLS again and I noticed a lot of people coming and going from his practice to buy the meal replacements and other stuff you need after WLS, so no wonder he kept telling me I just needed surgery. Eventually I got sick of the run-around and his deteriorating bedside manner and went to specialists of all other sorts to figure out was wrong with me. Finally saw a new endocrinologist this month and she took everything more seriously. She ran all the bloodwork and found I have a pheochromocytoma. Hope it isn't malignant because I've probably been living with it for years, no thanks to Dr. Isaacs.
Jennifer Gilligan, MD
105 Collier Rd NW #5040, Atlanta, GA 30309, USA
Dr Gilligan is an asset in my care plan for my elderly mother with diabetes and dementia. We’ve had to move to a more conservative approach to her blood sugar control and she understands the family dynamic in caring for two octogenarians. I appreciate her thoroughness and the ability to communicate with her when needed through the patient portal. Our appointments are on time and efficient, and it is easy to book either through the phone or portal. Office staff is wonderful, too. Getting to her office is not always easy due to traffic congestion, but seeing Dr Gilligan on a regular basis is important. Using the valet parking option helps with getting mom in and out of the building.
Dr. Shehzad M. Topiwala, MD F.A.C.E
226 Willis Dr, Stockbridge, GA 30281, USA
I just want to say one thing about this office. All the staff and doctors are very very courteous have good attitudes especially Keisha and Brittany. Your staffing is excellent. I love this office and I want to continue to keep coming here because this office is very concerned about the patients, and I really love it. I really appreciate everybody being so kind to me because without Dr. T I don’t know where I would be because he considered me having surgery with my thyroid and ever since I had the surgery. And I really love it. I really appreciate everybody being so kind to me because without Dr. T, I don’t know where I would be because he considered me having surgery with my thyroid and every since I had the surgery I feel much better. He’s concerned about my blood pressure , all my health and I just want to say thank you so much. I love you guys. Thank you.
Endocrine Specialists of Atlanta
975 Johnson Ferry Rd NE UNIT 400, Atlanta, GA 30342, USA
My experience today was absolutely top-notch. The entire staff was friendly, upbeat, and caring! Dr. Beasley was amazing and truly does care about his patients. I know I am in good hands and truly grateful for the wonderful team at Endocrine Specialists of Atlanta.
Dr. Stephen F. Brandt, MD
1365 Clifton Rd N E Building C, Atlanta, GA 30322, USA
Dr. Brandt walked out on his patients and never looked back. I understand from another doctor that he has become a concierge doctor. I have lost all confidence in Dr. Brandt because he chose not to tell his patients. I have lost confidence in the Endocrinology Department at Emory, because THEY chose not to tell us……and dangled us along making us think he would be back and not putting us with another doctor when our appointments were due. My family has LEFT Emory’s Endocrinology Department. The rest of our doctors are still there . However, this has damaged Emory’s credibility in my eyes.
