Dr. Jehanara Ahmed, MD
2910 Fannin St Suite C, Beaumont, TX 77701, USA
Nice Dr Ahmed tried to explain my situation not quite needed surgery; not knowing I’ve already been to 2 surgeons that told me that nodules on left thyroid not big enough for surgery although they cause the patient trouble to take her medication. She has no trouble swallowing to eat ; food goes down fine no trouble. It was a first visit and brought all medicine bottles; after I was put in exam room was told to put bottles next to computer. Dr Ahmed came in ; seemed like a nice lady . Listen to half of questions and went to another. Like what surgery? Before you could answer all ; What allergies. At one point when she picked up my Dilatin Extended bottle; I tried to explain if you ( Dr ) looking at labs when level high it depends on time of day lab drawn. If early appointment my level will be higher ; if later morning not. After this she thought maybe I should talk to my Neurologist about spreading the medication through the day . Medication for seizures I have not had in 4 years ; because labs . I told her no. We went with visit; at end she wanted to order lab ; swallowing test. Ok ; now I’m putting meds back in bag and she says you do take too much medication. I stop and ask her now what medicine can I do without. Patient has : Epilepsy ( since 6 1/2 ); Arthritis; fracture back twice; Osteoporosis; Rt. Knee pain; Arthritis in rt. Foot; So the medication she pointed out to me I could do without was stool softener since I was taking a larger dose of one in Am / Pm . And then I pointed out to her at almost 67 ; bad back ; knees no you don’t get a lot of exercise. No not depressed. If hole in ear that Anthony didn’t look at ; Galveston didn’t see . I could/ would get out more .
Dr. Robert C. Hood, MD
3030 North St, Beaumont, TX 77702, USA
I was a patient since 2012 for diabetes. This review doesn't reflect the nurses or office staff who are great. On my last visit, Dr. Hood demanded I get an insulin pump or he wasn't going to treat me anymore. He left the room and came back with a paper to sign that he dropped me as a patient. He made me walk out the back of the office and wouldn't allow me to exit through the lobby.
Dr. Kandaswamy Jayaraj, MD
3440 Fannin St, Beaumont, TX 77701, USA
I am 75 years old and have been to many doctors in my lifetime. I have never been treated with such rudeness by any doctor. Dr Jayaraj was condescending and insulting to me. I felt reprimanded for the questions I asked about my health and my concerns. I have had thyroid issues for 40 years and he was contradicting of many things I have been told. I will not step foot back into his office nor would I recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Jose M. Ortiz, MD
3030 North St # 560, Beaumont, TX 77702, USA
He examined me for maybe 5 minutes if that and immediately said every problem I have is because I am overweight. One of the reasons I went there was unexplained weight gain-60 pounds or so in a year. Won’t come off, a number of other issues. Asking to be checked for insulin resistance, pcos, other underlying issues to help find a way to get back to a better me. All he would do is call me fat and say tests wouldn’t show anything, that there wasn’t enough research on fat people to find a good way to treat the issue. It could just be genetics. I asked him to notate in my chart that he refused to test or even acknowledge my other symptoms and issues due to my weight he back tracked. Said he would test my cortisol levels but it would probably show nothing though, and for me to look into surgery with my insurance. This is ridiculous, I get overweight is a problem, but for someone who is actively seeking help to be shut down by a fat phobic dr who is suppose to care for patients and help them it’s disheartening. According to this Dr only thin people deserve treatment or at least that’s how my visit went. Did not even offer a tissue as I sat across from him crying and begging for understanding, help and for answers- if not just tests to maybe find answers.
Endocrine Clinic of SE Texas
3030 North St # 560, Beaumont, TX 77702, USA
