Erlanger Endocrinology
979 E 3rd St Suite A-550, Chattanooga, TN 37403, USA
I don’t know where to begin. This office has hands down been the worse medical experience in my life. I rarely if ever get calls about lab results, numerous scripts have been sent in in the wrong dosage. And when I call to ask why, I’m told that I am wrong when I literally have it on my after visit summary. The nurses have argued with my pharmacy regarding prescriptions even going so far as to call my pharmacy and argue with them instead of just giving verbal authorization. I’ve had to contact other healthcare providers to have them contact this office in the hopes that requests coming from other drs will have more weight than coming from me. This office took me off of a medication for a procedure but when I started having issues because of that change, I was told sorry that’s not our responsibility, you’ll need to contact your other drs. ( I have screen shots of all of this). I was referred to another specialist for surgery on Oct 28, it is now Nov 18 and they still have not gotten the records they need for surgery despite both that health care provider as well as myself reaching out for multiple requests. When the procedure was discussed, I asked for the referral be sent to a specific Dr (one I was already seeing) and then while I was in Dr Jawahars office, called the other office and let them know to expect this request. They have since reached out numerous times asking for medical records which they have yet to receive and the surgery was tentatively set for early December but now that may be delayed because this office seems overly incompetent. There have been a few pleasant people I’ve dealt with there, but over all it has been a very poor experience. Finding out you’ve got cancer that has metastasized as well as tumors of unknown type on your kidneys and that you’ll require a fairly rare/uncommon surgery to treat is stressful enough without having to deal with the added stress of baby sitting your healthcare provider to make sure prescriptions are sent, records are faxed, lab results gone over etc etc. sadly when I mention this problems to my other providers they tell me the same thing in their dealings with other patients and this office.
Galen Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology

I waited for over an hour with my 1 year old and 3 year old!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ only to go back and be seen for 5 minutes. And within those 5 minutes, her computer wasn’t working and she changed my dose without even seeing my levels. Just honestly so ridiculous. I ended up going somewhere else for care. The staff at the desk was nice though.

Type 1 diabetes is a disease that requires constant monitoring and frequent adjustments to control. Under Dr. Huffman’s care, I have made great strides controlling my diabetes and ultimately extending my life. Thank you Doctor!
