Dr. Folb is the best endocrinologist I have had in the last 14 years. Better than Mayo Clinic, Better than any of the past 5 Endocrinologist I have received treatment. She listens to you and really cares about helping you. She understands your needs. She is a rare find Endocrinologists.

Dr. Kilpatrick has been one of the greatest doctors I have had as part of my health team. I have been her patient for several years, and she has always been so compassionate and genuine in wanting to see me become healthy. She never rushes through my appointment to move on to the next patient. She has always taken the time to listen and answer all my questions and address all my concerns in a kind way. She is also very thorough with understanding the issues I have had and seeking to help me feel better. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing an endocrinologist in Northwest Arkansas.

I live two hours away and have waited 3 months for my appointment. I was scheduled for a 7:45am lab and then a 10:15 am Dr. appointment to discuss my results. I arrive for my Labs and everything is good. I leave to go grab breakfast and kill time until my 10:15 appointment when the nurse calls and asks if I have done my labs. I told her yes, then she asks where I had them done at. They had no idea. I was then told they would have to reschedule my appointment since it takes up to a week for blood work to come back. It honestly feels like I’m using the VA.

I’ve had nothing but a great experience here at Washington Regional Endocrinology. From the front desk to the back, everyone is so nice and helpful and eager to answer any questions. Dr. Folb is absolutely wonderful and so down to earth! She explains everything to you easily. Then when you have questions, she is ready and really listens! I’ve been so impressed. Another thing that struck so well with me is their promptness in calling back when you have any questions. Highly recommend!

My review of Dr. Hawkins and staff is based on 5 + appointments. I’ve been a patient of hers over a year. I believe she’s a very good Endocrinologist. Please see below for reasons I rate her highly. Despite increased stressors on physicians throughout covid 19 she never gave the impression she wasn’t professionally present and invested. Her clinical skills including memory appeared to remain exceptional. The questions she asked/asks were and are clear and articulated well. Also, a caring demeanor was and continues to be conveyed through her assessment questions, continuing to see me and others at the scheduled appointment time, catching & continuing to monitor pt problems, etc. This has remained consistent. I can’t speak for other patients, however; this is my experience and info from limited observations as I waited in the lobby area. Her clinical skills are not in lieu of good bedside manner. She provides friendly and equally good compassionate care so I say she’s quite well balanced. My impression is she’s appropriately invested and interested in my health/progress, treatment plans (with her and where things are with my other specialists), and so on both in interaction and follow up. Sharing this for context: I had an appointment with one of my cardiologists recently. I call him my good cardiologist because he caught something another well respected cardiologist didn’t. When I mentioned two ER visits due to post procedure complications he had a blank look on his face. This was after being discharged from the hospital after an angiogram procedure with him, and briefly landing in SICU. After his pause he responded, “but I didn’t do a procedure on you…”. He was probably about to ask who did, or something. I said, “yes, yes you did.” I couldn’t help but laugh. Better to laugh than cry, amirite?! He looked dumbfounded. He and his office are who told me to head to the ER right away because they thought I had a hematoma. His memory is a bit scary but I’m noticing this across the board thesedays with many practitioners. My memory has taken a huge hit and I can’t judge. He’s been a very good cardiologist and I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy a recent vacation without his intervention. Since he is very overworked and understaffed I let it slide. I also have two cardiologists and an electrophysiologist for various reasons including ones lack of attention w/ regard to angina (not the one who did the procedure. Sigh). Also, when I woke up after being in SICU the cardiologist who didn’t recall doing a procedure on me or me being in the hospital was literally standing above me. You may ask, “Where else would he stand?”. Well, not immediately above me staring at me flat affect without saying hello. I get there’s a method to his madness. I say all this to contrast things for the sake of relaying info in support of my review of Hawkins. She is not only intelligent but also friendly which is appreciated. This particular cardiologist of mine forgot he did a procedure on me and I was inpatient for a couple days. He lack’s bedside manner but is known to be very intelligent/book smart. I was more interested in successful track record, not bedside manner. I wanted my heart issues gotten to the bottom of properly - not a hug. It just isn’t common to find someone with the intelligence and skilled compassionate care. I believe Dr. Hawkins has this. In ways I’m comparing apples and oranges but if it can help someone then so be it. Dr. Hawkins and her staff makes sure scheduling imaging and testing is followed through on in a timely manner. I’ve called in with a concern regards my thyroid hormone levels and she/her staff promptly ordered labs the same day. This allowed me to go in for blood draws and get answers speedily which eased my mind and helped figure out what was going on in the end. It’s like her particular office runs as efficiently as Chik-fil-a. Maybe I’ve been blessed and lucky. Regardless its worth praising them over as it’s not as common an experience these days.
