Baylor Scott White receptionist staff is horrible. They are rude, condescending and sound like they hate their jobs. Same thing as other people have posted, my doctor sent a referral 3 times over the past 2 months with confirmation and the receptionist could not have cared less, saying it’s not their problem they don’t have it , but that I can call the 3rd party who handles their faxes and figure it out with them. I asked if they are concerned that drs are losing patients because they aren’t receiving referrals, and she laughed and said he’s booked through April I’m sure he’s doing fine. The number she gave me for the 3rd party is just going straight to hold music for 20 minutes. Brittany answered the phone on speaker , I could hear typing like she was doing something else. Felt like I was not important to her and she just wanted to get off the phone. Sad the doctors first point of contact for a patient is this.

Dr Dhawan seemed fine but the rest of the practice is far from it. The front desk staff is not welcoming at all. They tried to collect a copay and I had to prove that I had met my deductible and out of pocket before they would allow me to see the doctor. Then I get a call wanting $20 for them to send a prior authorization to my pharmacy which was denied so then I get another call wanting another $20 for another prior authorization! NO! Stop nickel and diming your patients! And no, this was not explained at any time during my visit. Isn’t that part of your job?? There’s a reason you have such a low rating. Start caring more about your patients and less about fees for every single thing. Good bye!

They do not record/document your appointments correctly as I see no results in the patient portal for the appointment summary. You are basically paying them to do nothing. They are slow to update your personal information, and they wrote down the wrong height and address on my file, and their bloodwork is way overpriced. Dr. Merin Mathew is not friendly to patients who are LGBT+. Due to my appointments not being recorded properly, he prescribed me a medication without care to note the history of side effects of what depression meds have done to me, which was very neglectful. Would not recommend it at all.

When I was newly diagnosed with T1D I asked Dr. Addington to help me get approved for T-shield to slow down the progression of my disease. She said she would, but never did and because of the delays I now no longer qualify for the clinical trial. She also has a habit of saying 'I'll be right back' and leaving the room during your appointnent & just never comes back. She also abruptly closed her Frisco practice with 5 weeks notice via email leaving her patients scrambling to find a new provider. Would not reccomend.

I had trouble with my pump supplier and was left without my infusion set for a couple of days. Zoraida, the CMA was fantastic! After battling with my pump supplier for weeks, she got the pump order to go through finally, and my supplies were delivered within 48 hours. Thank you, Zoraida!
