Cacia Valeria Soares-Welch, MD
1240 Jesse Jewell Pkwy SE Suite 500, Gainesville, GA 30501, USA
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1964 and have been through the gamut of different changes in treatment modalities and practitioners. Some good, others terrible. The introduction of the ACA was devastating to continuation of care with many providers. I began to see Dr. Soares-Welch in 2017. From the time of my first visit, I have been VERY impressed with the level of her knowledge, her expertise in diabetes management, the new treatment technologies, and her continued compassion for me as her patient. I am convinced my T1D is better controlled and I am healthier under the care of Dr. Soares-Welch than I have been with any of my previous specialist. Two years ago, Northside, Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic, and Dr. Soares-Welch are no longer "in-network" with my insurance plan. This increased my copays for each visit from $30 to $100 and increased my deductible and coinsurance levels making it much more costly to continue to see Dr. Soares-Welch. I continue to be a patient of Dr. Soares-Welch as my Endocrinologist and pay the additional cost since I am so happy with the care I receive. Thank You Dr. Cacia Soares-Welch for your dedication and commitment to all of your patients. You are very appreciated.
Longstreet Clinic Endocrinology

My experience was great. Dr. Fung not only listened to me but actually explained a lot to me about menopause pre and post and took the time to get my thyroid scans from Union General. Which will monitor again 3 months from now. All blood came back pretty good and the lab was fast and easy. Checking in was really easy also. Everyone was nice and polite.

Accent Endocrinology
4340 Newberry Rd #301, Gainesville, FL 32607, USA
I’ve had T1 diabetes for 30yrs, seen many endos & have worked in healthcare for 10+ yrs. Accent is by far the WORST medical practice. There’s good reason to have 2 stars, even though they deserve negative stars! I moved from TX last year & was a few months pregnant. I wanted to see Dr. Digman b/c she had 5 stars. They wouldn’t schedule an appt until they received medical records & was rude when I asked why. My former endo sent my records multiple times b/c they claimed they never received it. It took weeks to schedule anything & almost 3months to be seen. My previous endo ALWAYS prioritized pregnant pts.&saw them every 2 wks despite being busy. She continued to see me virtually until I was able to get care here b/c Dr.s like her actually care for their patients’ health. I’ve only seen Dr. Digman once in a whole year. The 2nd time I was supposed to see her I was turned away for being 10 mins late. She likes to push her pts onto her assistants any chance she gets which was suggested that day. I wrote them via portal relaying my frustration for being penalized despite showing up within the tardy window. My next appt. wasn’t for another 5mos. 4mos later, the front desk called to cancel my appt & said I could only see her assistant moving forward. I asked why I couldn’t see the Dr. which was a mystery for all. I was forwarded to Nicole the office manager which went to voicemail. In fact, it will always go to vm & it’s always full so you can never leave a message. She’ll post on your complaints here to call & ‘talk’ about your issues, pretending to care. I messaged in the portal asking why I was banned.Nicole responded not even answering my question. Instead, she sent me my message from 4 mos ago about being tardy, said they’re unable to meet my needs & suggested I seek out endo else where. Really?! THAT’S your solution? To boot the pt. out of the office? Felt like high school drama. I still wanted to see the Dr. though b/c I thought the ONE time I saw her was good. I thought maybe I’m just caught in the crossfires of incompetent staff who are unable to communicate properly or handle conflict productively. Surely Dr. Digman didn’t know what was going on & would still want to treat me if she did? Nope. Wrong! Nicole never clarified why I can’t see her. I called the front desk who scheduled me to see her but quickly canceled when they found out who I was & still without reason. The clerk refused to message the Dr. directly to ask why & never got back to me. Same story for the assistant office manager and everyone else I came in contact with. After many days of silence, I messaged again in the portal expressing my frustration at this ridiculous runaround. John Eastman called me the next day to tell me that I am no longer a fit for them and that Dr. Digman no longer wants to see me. He said my correspondence was partly the reason, and remained clueless when I asked why I was no longer able to see her before I was labeled the black sheep for self advocating. B/c no one, including Dr. Digman, cared or had the common sense to listen to my concerns & utilize appropriate communication skills to address them. It was never an option to see a different endocrinologist at that practice b/c ‘those are the rules’ according to Eastman. I will never know the real reason why I was banned. Knowing that Dr. Digman would rather back up stories told by her incompetent staff to turn away patients instead of listening to & advocating for them speaks volumes about her character. I am disappointed that she would stand for this nonsense & can walk away knowing that this is the best decision for me. The reality is you only have 2 options for endo in Gainesville. It is unethical for any company who thinks it’s ok to mistreat people and send them away as soon as conflict arises. My PCP office said they received a note from Accent saying they will only see thyroid patients now, so I guess their doctors pick and choose who they want to see & who to turn away.Accent is a disgrace to healthcare. Don’t waste your time on them if you value your health.
Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic - Gainesville
1240 Jesse Jewell Pkwy SE Suite 500, Gainesville, GA 30501, USA
I am a current endocrinology patient and I am so disappointed and frustrated with this establishments billing department. I received my 1st of 3 statements for a bill back in the beginning of may of this year. I have been trying to contact them since the first statement in order to pay it in full or at least set up a payment plan. I have tried 7 DIFFERENT POINTS OF CONTACT NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE PAST 3 months to get in touch with these people so my bill doesn’t go to collections and wreck my credit score. I have not received any response or assistance in satisfying my bill. I have only spoken to 2 people in the past 3 months. 1 who couldn’t help me because she wasn’t apart of the billing department….. that was the number I called so ????…… and the other person was apart of the billing department but told me I had to pay in full and wouldn’t be able to set up a payment plan or even make a payment on that balance that day if it was under a certain amount. I am typically a very gracious and easy going person/patient. Not many things can make me as angry and frustrated as I am right now with this organization and how negligent they have been with communication and patient services. Looking into opening an investigation and taking legal action against the billing department specifically. They are so quick to send a letter with your balance threatening collections and the right they reserve to decline services to patients if their bills aren’t paid by their next appointment but not quick enough to collect payment themselves? So they would rather send it to collections and sell your debt for pennies on the dollar instead of making the billing department accountable for doing their job. Sincerely, Your neglected patient.
