Featured health clinics for Ozempic in

Irving

Dr. Samata Basani
1153 W John Carpenter Fwy #102, Irving, TX 75039, USA
I have Type 2 diabetes. I visited Dr. Basani about 9 months ago and she prescribed Ozempic. She had no idea how much this costs vs. regular insulin. I can tell you that insulin on my insurance was free and Ozempic was nearly $1,000/monthly (we got it down to $250). During the office visit, she asked me, "How do you feel?" I said, "I feel fine. I check my reader twice daily and I'm in the green." She said, "That sounds great." I expressed that from time to time my reading is a bit higher than I'd like, even though it's in the green status. She offered to put my on Ozempic. She never checked my readings, took bloodwork, or anything else. I was there 5 minutes. My portion of the "office visit" bill from UHC was about $200 - "my" portion. They refilled the Ozempic one time. I just called to have it refilled again and was told it was "mandatory" for me to have an office visit or they would not refill the prescription. I told them the story of the first visit, of which I found zero value and zero healthcare provided. The very rude receptionists just repeated herself and said, "It is policy." I said I found no value in a $200 office visit for 5 minutes to share that I check my reader often and there's been no issue. I asked again for the prescription and was denied. Dr. Basani provides other services and perhaps she is very good, but I found this practice to be of no value to me, and I find her staff to be completely indifferent to patients. They must be rolling in insurance money because they don't seem to care if they lose patients or not. I will not recommend this practice nor will I return to see them. Dr. Basani - you are fired.
Prime Endocrinology and Diabetes
7429 Las Colinas Blvd Ste 101, Irving, TX 75063, USA
This review is strictly based on my own personal experience with this doctors office. I called this office on Monday of this week (8/5/24) to request an appointment to acquire a new endocrinologist. I was told to send them a copy of my most recent bloodwork via email and that the doctor will review those results to determine if she'll accept me as a new patient. Now, I have Hashimoto Disease, as well as out whack Thyroid numbers, so I wouldn't expect to not be a viable candidate to be a new patient of this doctor. The staff informed me that it may take 24 to 48 hours for the doctor to review this info before they call me back to schedule an appointment. No problem, right..? On Wednesday I called them back to ask, has the doc looked over my numbers and made any decision yet...? They verified they received the email detailing my bloodwork results, then said they would check on that and call me back either later that day or the next day. Today is now Friday, and I've still not heard from this office on whether or not I'm allowed or approved to be a new patient here! WTH? Just a warning to those who are looking for a new endocrinologist... apparently, you need to be someone very special to be allowed in the presence of this doctor because I've never had to wait an entire week just to be told if they even WANT me here! Now, if they suddenly call me today (after seeing this review show up), I will be turning this office down. I have a condition that definitely requires a doctors care on a regular basis, and if this doctors staff makes it THIS hard, just to find out if I'm even worthy of being in the presence of this doctor, then that not only speaks volumes of how I'll be treated each time I need to schedule a visit, but I feel it also speaks volumes in regards to the doctor. Does she put herself on this high pedestal, as if some patients aren't worthy of even seeing her, and will she treat me less than what I deserve...? I'm not sure but if after 5 days I still have no word on if I can even HAVE an appointment.... I think the red flags are clearly flying high with this office staff, and I deserve a doctor whose office staff treat the patients better than this. I've never had one single doctors office make me wait 5 days, just to hear if they even WANT me as a patient... that alone speaks volumes. Also, I will update this review (if they do suddenly call me due to this review) and report the reason (or excuse) they give as to why it takes 5 days and a negative review, just to be told if I can even have an appointment with this "golden" doctor.
Dr. Priyanka Agarwal, MD
7429 Las Colinas Blvd Ste 101, Irving, TX 75063, USA
Review is for Dr Priyanka Agrawal. I thought she was a knowledgeable doctor but I dont feel that way any more. I felt she was casual and ignorant with her approach.I didnot like the approach and response of the doctor. We went there for thyroid problem as we are facing fertility issues. Doctor took the details as if they are doing open my thyroid gland but nothing got done after my reports came. There was no response no concern after that. I tried reaching out to them and messaged them but no response. Overall it was not a good experience. You go one time pay one time , they make money and you are done!
Las Colinas Endocrinology PA
1153 W John Carpenter Fwy #102, Irving, TX 75039, USA
This is THE WORST experience I have EVER had calling an office in my LIFE. Marie frankly does not have the skill set or knowledge to deal with potential patients. I called last week to make an appointment, the receptionist said they accept my insurance, but they need a referral. I immediately called my office to provide the referral which was faxed twice to their office. I called back, and they said they had not received it. I called again and started speaking with Marie. Marie then tells me they do not accept my insurance. I inform her that I already confirmed they did and a referral was requested so I asked her to check again, or if I could speak to someone else. Marie then proceeds to tell me they DO accept my insurance. I ask her did they receive the referral, she tells me no, but they can still set my appointment. I call yesterday to confirm the referral was received, Marie tells me no, so I conference my PCP’s office in with Marie to confirm the fax information. My office was willing to send it other ways, but advised WHILE Marie was on the line that they would send whatever they need. Marie then tells my office that they don’t need a referral from me, that I just requested it. A blatant lie. I immediately correct her, because the only reason I called my doctor was because this office requested a referral. I confirm my appointment for today with her. This morning Marie calls me and tells me, my insurance is not in network. Complete incompetence. I requested to speak with an office manager because she and another person already verified this information. She tells me she’s working remotely, and she’ll have them call me back. I request their phone number, she says she can’t give out the manager’s number. This person should not be working here!!!
Endocrinology Institute of Texas Feferman Robert S MD
4201 Wingren Dr STE 105, Irving, TX 75062, USA
Love Dr Feferman and the entire staff! I have been a patient for years and have never felt better. I am 60 years old and my hormones are in check and I feel amazing. In addition…I got help with weight loss! Being insulin resistant and borderline diabetic, I had gained a substantial amount of weight. Dr Feferman put me on GLP-1 meds over 2 years ago and this helped me lose 50lbs. Started on Saxenda then moved to Mounjaro, then to compounded. I love the staff too. Tiffany and Georgia are so very helpful and the front desk is always great to work with. My husband is now a patient too…got his testosterone in check. He loves the new injector pens! Thanks to you all.
