West Denver Endocrinology
215 South Wadsworth Boulevard suite 530 on top floor of Belmar Plaza, above BMO, Lakewood, CO 80226, USA
Hi my name is Margaret I went to West Denver endocrinology today and I've had hashimoto thyroiditis since the age of 17 I've recently had a thyroid antibody test done and it was 241 when it should be no higher than 82. I have horrible symptoms and I just feel terrible after arriving to the clinic today first when I walked in they told me they no longer take Medicare even though that was known by them and my referring doctor. she said yes we just lost certification for it we won't get new certification till the 1st of the year I had to pay $160 to see this doctor today because they couldn't call me and tell me they didn't take Medicare right now then I walk into the doctor's office and all she tells me is because my thyroid levels were normal on my last test that none of the symptoms that I have are thyroid problems I have been researching myself since the age of 17 and I used to go to university hospital and study from their medical books to learn how this was affecting me because a lot of doctors don't have this information. I'm telling you this because when I went into the endocrinology office today here she told me oh I see you've been looking on the internet and that's not true I've been studying from their books since I was 17 years old. So based on one thyroid test that she saw because my levels were okay that day on one test she said all of my symptoms are not thyroid related at all regardless of any research I have done or any experiences I have had. She told me every doctor I have seen since the age of 17 was wrong I'm 58 years old I've seen a lot of doctors on this. So the only thing I can say is she benefited from my $160 today just to tell me that she could have looked at my blood work and testing that I've had and call me on the phone and said this wasn't a thyroid problem instead of making me pay $160 to sit in her office for 5 minutes. I had a bad feeling when I walked in so you need to listen to your gut don't let these people rip you off. My symptoms are fatigue anxiety brain fog joint pain my muscles are weak like they don't feel like they are working properly all of a sudden I am cold all day I've been cold since the third week of Summer and I'm still cold. Severely dry skin and hair. Depression. And a few more I just don't want to go on. I did look up on the internet how to advocate for yourself and to find another doctor I am going to do that. I could see if this was something new but this is something I have 40 years experience with. Probably longer than this doctor's been alive.

Thank you, Dr. Rieniets for being the best of the best!
