Riverside Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialists Peninsula
12200 Warwick Blvd Suite 590A, Newport News, VA 23601, USA
Im just writing and giving a 3 as to not offset the rating because im just giving some advice. So, when i see so many horrible reviews on a branch from riverside it don’t make this location or practice alone look bad but riverside as a whole. I would definitely get to the bottom of what ever has been going on and get it addressed because i was about to go here until i seen all these reviews. I still like riverside but I can’t bring myself to walk into a specialty practice like this that has this many bad reviews
TPMG Coastal Endocrinology - Newport News
860 Omni Blvd Suite 301, Newport News, VA 23606, USA
I usually have a wonderful experience with TPMG Endocrinology, but today was different. Traffic was backed up on the interstate and when I entered the office at EXACTLY 9:47 a.m. and stated my name the receptionist said verbatim, "I'm sorry. It's 9:47 so you missed your appointment. We have a 7 minute window for late arrivals." I replied that it was indeed 9:47 so I was within the 7 minutes since it was not yet 9:48. She told me that there was nothing she could do because this was office policy. I asked where the policy was written because I distinctly remember signing a no-show policy but was never informed of any late policy. The no-show policy and fee was posted on the wall but there is no signage for the late policy displayed at the TPMG office at all. She again repeated that it was office policy and when I asked about rescheduling she stated that there was nothing available until January. I pressed the issue about the unwritten policy and she told me I would have to speak with the office manager. When the manager arrived, she also explained the policy but after "searching" could not produce any paperwork on the late policy at all. It took nearly 20 minutes for this conversation to elapse, during which I could have seen the doctor. After I explained that I would be contacting the patient advocate, they suddenly had a virtual appointment next week. It seems that TPMG needs to post ALL of their policies and make every patient aware before they turn people away and try to charge them fees. I would be wary of setting up appointments with them if you live any distance away because they are not flexible with their fictional policies.
Tidewater Endocrine Consultants
11803 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA 23606, USA
I was trying to followup on my Medtronic pump upgrade. As requested by the Medtronic representative, I contacted Gail to discuss the upgrade and inform her that I had seen Dr. Matthias the prior week. Before she even got the reason I was calling, Gail was rude to me, talked over me, called the Medtronic representative a liar, and was totally unprofessional. I have never been subjected to such horrendous treatment by a medical professional in my 68 years. Gail is definitely NOT an asset to your organization or a role model for other medical professionals.
